Fennel is a plant that produces golden yellow flowers and produces some   small, oval seeds of a greyish and light brown colour with striped surfaces. Fennel seeds have a slightly sweet flavour, similar to that of anise or liquorice.

Fennel seeds are a good digestive and have anti-inflammatory and carminative properties. Therefore, they are excellent allies to reduce ailments such as flatulence, diarrhea and abdominal pain. They even reduce excessive acid secretion and prevent reflux.
