The cucumber is the fruit of a rampant annual plant, cucurbitaceae, of the same family as courgettes and melons. This fruit is fleshy, firm, elongated and cylindrical, the cucumber has a watery, pale green, crunchy and fresh flesh, slightly bitter, under a thin, bright green and generally smooth skin.
