The dried apricot is a piece of fruit dehydrated by natural heat, exposing it to the sun, or artificially. It contains many nutritional properties such as iron, vitamin C and D concentrated when dehydrated. When dried, the dried apricot preserves all the nutrients and sugar of the fruit, however it is one of the fruits that contains the least sugar.

Like the rest of nuts, they are not only eaten directly but are also the basis for making sweet dishes, such as fruit salads, cakes and pastries; savoury dishes, such as Christmas turkey, lamb with dried apricots, some casserole meats and even in drinks.
