The Japanese orange is a plant derived from citrus fruits, with the same structure as the fruit and the tree but smaller in size, hence its common name of dwarf orange tree. Despite its excellent fruit, its greatest commercial interest is for decorative use.

It is a cancer-preventive fruit, through its properties as flavonoids and carotenoids, which is why it exerts power to act as an efficient anti-cancer agent. They have a great energy value, contain vitamin C, folic acid and minerals such as magnesium and potassium and not only that, they have important antioxidant properties that delay the effects of aging and also provide a good dose of dietary fiber.
