Shredded coconut is an ingredient obtained by grating the pulp of dried coconut. The color and flavor of shredded coconut is attributed to its high sugar and oil content. Shredded coconut is usually found in most supermarkets around the world, packaged in cans and small bags.

One of the important contributions that grated coconut makes is minerals, incorporating potassium, also iron, selenium and   manganese. We can also mention copper and zinc but in much smaller quantities.
